Yes, Mama, you read that right. If you were to open my purse you would find the usual: money, credit cards, debit cards, keys, and my ID. You’d also find tangible pieces of my heart.
Every pier we have visited as a family has had a gift shop. In those shops there are small figurines of sea life. Along with the change in my wallet, you can find a small plastic turtle, starfish, and clown fish.
In my wallet, you will also find a marble. It serves as a reminder to do something for someone else today. My purse holds every athletic and school picture I have received from the kids.
You will find several handwritten love letters from my husband.
You will find a school worksheet from Jaxon’s Spanish class that shocked me and brought me to tears. That will always be my favorite bookbag clean-up.
You will find a written scripture from my nana.
I have my favorite drawing of Ryder’s in my purse. He was writing his name so well!
My purse holds favorite toys, the things that do not fit in my husband’s pockets while we are out and about, and snacks because I am a mama. It comes in handy.
My purse is something I always carry with me. I never know when the ugly will creep in or I’ll be overwhelmed by doubt or self-pity.
If I ever need to count my blessings, I can always just open my purse.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,
